Kathleen Halliday

Paediatric & women's health dietitian / Lactation Consultant

Kathleen is a Dietitian (APD) and Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with over 10 years experience working with families. Kathleen has worked predominately publicly in community health as well as privately. She currently works as a Lactation Consultant in a major public hospital in Melbourne as well as combining dietetics and lactation in her private role.

Kathleen is passionate about supporting and normalising breastfeeding. She is qualified as a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), a member of the Lactation Consultants Association of Australia and New Zealand (LCANZ) and is a volunteer Breastfeeding Counsellor with the Australian Breastfeeding Association.

She has completed the Royal Children's Hospital's 'Certificate in Paediatric Nutrition and Dietetics' as well as being trained in the ‘Sequential Oral Sensory Approach to Feeding’ (a therapy for very fussy eaters/problem feeders). She has also completed training in Ellyn Satter's Feeding Dynamics Model.

Kathleen loves working with children and their families to assist them in meeting their nutritional needs and support them in developing positive relationships with food and their bodies. The goal is happy, harmonious mealtimes!

As a parent, Kathleen appreciates first hand the challenges of feeding young children and the need for easy to implement, practical recommendations.
