Paediatric & women's health dietitian
Kathleen is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with many years experience working publicly in community health and privately. She is currently the Paediatric Dietitian within the Child Development team in a Melbourne community health service.
She has completed the Royal Children's Hospital's 'Certificate in Paediatric Nutrition and Dietetics' as well as being trained in the ‘Sequential Oral Sensory Approach to Feeding’ (a therapy for very fussy eaters/problem feeders). She has also completed training in Ellyn Satter's Feeding Dynamics Model.
Kathleen loves working with children and their families to assist them in meeting their nutritional needs and support them in developing positive relationships with food and their bodies. The goal is happy, harmonious mealtimes!
Kathleen also has a strong interest in breastfeeding and is passionate about helping mums achieve their breastfeeding goals. She is currently undertaking further studies to certify as a Lactation Consultant to further assist families in the area of breastfeeding and lactation nutrition.
As a mother of two young boys, Kathleen appreciates first hand the challenges of feeding young children and the need for easy to implement, practical recommendations.
